Biesinger in Haigerloch-Hart is a Swabian family-owned company that has developed from a service provider in the field of wire erosion to a renowned supplier in tool and mold making and manufacturer of precision parts. The machinery includes wire and die-sinking EDM systems as well as powerful 5-axis HSC milling machines. Even with the most complex contours, for example for tool and mold making, Biesinger delivers the highest precision in wire erosion. The high-performance machinery with innovative technology enables the EDM experts to provide a responsive service. The company processes all electrically conductive materials up to a cutting height of 430 mm. Ultra-fine wires with a diameter of 0.05 mm are available for particularly delicate details. Surface roughnesses of Ra = 0.2 can be achieved with the microfinish option.

Start-hole EDM for wire erosion

By means of start-hole EDM, bores with diameters from 0.3 to 3.0 mm can be realized without any problems even in hardened material or in carbide. For very thin and deep holes, where there is no other technical manufacturing possibility, start hole EDM is the right manufacturing method for wire EDM. Thanks to the CNC-controlled machines, orders can be executed quickly and also rationally.

In addition to wire erosion, Biesinger also offers die-sinking EDM as a service, for example for the production of complicated contours and the machining of materials that are difficult to machine. Thanks to a well-equipped machine park and also extensive experience, the EDM experts can also meet unusual requirements here, for example from tool and mold making. By presetting the electrodes and workpieces on a Zeiss measuring machine, the EDM specialists also guarantee a high quality standard.

Die-sinking EDM not only for tool and die making

The handling systems to which the machines are connected enable Biesinger to change workpieces and electrodes unmanned around the clock. The electrodes - whether graphite, copper or tungsten copper - are completely manufactured by the EDM specialists in their in-house electrode manufactory. However, the experts for die-sinking and wire erosion also work with finished electrodes. For example, with electrodes provided by the customer for machining, for example from the tool and die making industry.
